Listed as Valdo's sire is Cashpaid J&F, a young Casall descendant. At the age of 7, Cashpaid qualified for the finals of the World Championships for 7-year-old horses and at just 9 years old, he jumped to a 6th place at the BK for Seniors and to a victory at the GP of Deauville. His talent did not go unnoticed and after sustained interest from all over the world, he left for Karl Cook's stables in late 2020. Cashpaid J&F carries interesting blood and was bred out of the mare Unschuld, a daughter of Chicago I Z x Concerto II. Also his full brother Cordial jumps at 1m60 level. Sire Casall, the showpiece of the Holsteiner studbook, has known enormous successes both in sports and in breeding. Under  Rolf-Göran Bengtsson, he jumped to a total earnings of more than €3,355,000 and is therefore currently the most earning jumping horse ever.

The 3rd mother of Valdo is the Anglo-Arabian mare Balle de Match X. Balle de Match is the mother of Ourgandja de Beaufour, who gave birth to the 1m60 jumping Abril Giquadana Semilly and of Kelly de Beaufour. Kelly de Beaufour, in combination with For Pleasure, gave birth to Pin Up de Beaufour, who is dam of Sultan de Beaufour. Sultan, ridden by Simon Delestre, immediately jumped to a 2nd place at the Saut Hermès in Paris on his first participation in 5* competitions, followed by a victory in La Baule and several places of honor in Paris, Maubeuge, Estoril, Valence, Madrid, etc.

Also Pin Up's other son, Ality des Carmilles is working on a profound carreer, with currently several top 10 places at 1m45 level.

Besides Pin Up,  Kelly de Beaufour is also the mother of the young Elvis ter Putte descendant Queen D' Edouard Joly. Queen is the mother of the here presented Valdo d' Edouard Joly. Elvis ter Putte jumped very meritoriously in the sport, but his offspring seem to surpass their sire. No less than 210 of his offspring are active at international level, including Levis de Muze, Elco van Hof Ter Naillen, Lou Lou VLS and Melia de Regor.
