ABOUT

Uno van het Waterblok is a descendant of the young Iago des Peupliers. Iago was born into a rock-solid dam line and has world champion Vigo d'Arsouilles as father. His dam, Opale des Peupliers, entered the 1.60 m courses already as a young horse, but unfortunately had an accident in her stable and was consequently used as a breeding mare.

Also descendants of the dam line of Iago are Jouvence du Loup (1.60 m), Kandy du Loup (1.45 m), the SF-approved Défi Platière (1.60 m) and approved Intime Platière (1.60 m), Lucifer Platière(1.60 m) and Must des Peupliers.

Iago des Peupliers already jumped three clear courses at the Pavo Stallion Competition and draws the attention because of his strong, qualitative canter and his scope.

Uno is a half-brother of the already successfully performing descendants of Eros Platière. Jenny van het Waterblok was bought by Stephex Stables after the Belgian Championships for Young Horses as a 6-year-old. With Lorenzo Di Luca, she immediately jumped to great results: they won the Youngster Tour in Eindhoven and in Knokke, after which the mare was sold towards Canada. She arrived under the saddle of Jeff Brandmaier and this combination has already added three victories to its name, next to two 2nd places at the 1.40-1.50 m level. Also Mr. Pumpkin (ex.Ido van het Waterblok) went abroad, more specifically to Turkey and is currently entering the 1.40 m level there.

Kadet van het Waterblok jumped to a second place as a 2-year-old at the free jump of the Open Day of the Young Horse. He is now under the saddle of a Swiss female rider and active at the 1.35 m level. The 4 year old Quanto van het Waterblok has already jumped 5 clear rounds in the Cycle of Young Horses of 2020 and was qualified for the finals in Lier, as well as the 5 year old Pedro van het Waterblok.

Uno is a classy, strong foal with a lot of frame, strong foundations and a lot of balance in his movements. He possesses all the ingredients to develop as an excellent sport horse.
